Having to be on the road for some minor caravan adaptions, we thought we’d make a weekend of it and head to one of our favourite places in the country for a much needed break - Rutland!

But little did we know, a storm was brewing…

After passing through Kent a few years ago we realised how much there is to see and do there, so we just had to dedicate a trip to exploring this underrated county for ourselves.

With the country slowly opening itself up again after grinding to a halt since March, we thought we’d make the most of our newfound (old) freedom and have a quick weekend away.

Having been home for some time now, we’re naturally starting to reminisce about past adventures and daydream about future ones. This particular blog post looks back at an adventure that took place this time last year, when we headed to Paris for our first caravan trip overseas!

After our time in Fort William we had a change of weather and a change of accommodation. Join us as we explore the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

With the New Year edging closer we made our way back up to Scotland for some festive fun- Hogmanay in Edinburgh!

As the year draws to a close, we naturally start to look back at the past 12 months, and look forward to the next. And what a year 2019 has been for us!

As the sun sets on our amazing Scottish adventure, join us as we explore South Uist, Eriskay and the wonderful island of Barra.

As we leave the Isle of Harris our adventure takes us southwards to the beautiful Isle of North Uist. There we see lots of beautiful beaches, meet up with friends and make some new ones along the way.

Our Hebridean adventure takes us further south and into the Isle of Harris. This place just gets more and more special!

We spend our lives rushing around from place to place, never stopping to really experience somewhere. Sometimes you just need a change of pace.

We’re off on another exciting adventure around Scotland, and we’re starting in Oban! Here’s what we got up to...

At the end of April we were lucky enough to be invited to come and try out a new luxury camping pod situated in the beautiful Devonshire countryside. We have gotten used to towing our accommodation around behind us, so this was going to be a different kind of adventure- but having looked around an Omnipod at the February Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show, we knew we were in for a treat!

This Easter we decided to do the least cliche thing ever, and have a caravanning trip to Cornwall!Stephen had enjoyed many holidays there as a child, but surprisingly we were yet to visit together, and we couldn’t wait!

After a busy few months of using our caravan for other purposes, we were particularly looking forward to getting back to using it for leisure again. Read all about our wonderful weekend in Rutland here!

This year we were excited to be attending the Naidex Show for the very first time. “What is Naidex?” I hear you ask. It turns out that it’s the most established exhibition in Europe dedicated to people with disabilities, and a place where trade, professionals and consumers can all get together. We couldn’t wait to get stuck in!

When you have a disability it can be all too easy to assume that you can’t easily get out and explore in a leisure vehicle, but you’d be surprised at the amount of assistive devices available.From grab handles and auto levelling systems to profiling beds and hoists, there really is no limit.

I want to take you back to a slightly different, BC (before caravan) adventure. It’s May 2017 and we had been saving long and hard for our caravan so the wanderlust was setting in badly. We were counting down the months until we’d have our very own adventure-mobile but we needed something to quench our thirst in the meantime. It’s no secret that my favourite flower is a tulip so where better to go than The Netherlands?!
